My PC failed and I am returning it. My Firefox browser was syned and I have saved sensitive passwords. I can't access the hard drive directly. Is it possible to "de-authorize" the computer remotely so the next time it's turned on it will log out and remove the info automatically?

Nothing anyone can do or nor can the forum do anything. To remove sync you have to change the password so it delete the sync on the computer.

Are you using the Primary Password on that device as in that case they would have to know this PP (Firefox would prompt to enter the PP) ?

If you do not have a PP set, you could backup logins.json and key4.db in the profile of your current device and export the logins to CSV and then remove all the passwords what would propagate via Sync to all other devices.
