Just updated (7 August). Now:

Everything (and I mean everything) is going at Tortoise speed Laptop crashed Laptop rebooted - blanked screen Rebooted, wait 5 minutes for task bar population Select icon, wait to open Give up, try another

Click on a filename - wait 30 seconds - nothing happens, check Task Manager, wait 1/2 minute for that to open Open Explorer - "Not responding" , go to anything else "Not responding" "Save" - "Not responding"

I daren't backup as it would take a week at this rate

Can you tell me how to reverse please please please. It was all good until yesterday

We do only Firefox Support here, but it sounds like your Windows is corrupt. Boot into Windows safe mode and run SFC: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files-79aa86cb-ca52-166a-92a3-966e85d4094e
