I just bought a new laptop, and I can't figure out how to import my old bookmarks. I have them in an html file, but the import data option displays only the choice of importing from Edge (a horrible browser), not from file.

I can't even swear that I am seeing bookmarks. The bookmarks line at top is showing only the most recent (very old) searchs in Edge I also am not seeing the option to clear history on exit. What's wrong, and what can I do?

Open the Bookmarks library with ctl+shft+o. Across the top you will see a menu. Use Import and Backup > Import Bookmarks from HTML.
