HI, at some point during the past year, Firefox "email link" tool (under the File menu) stopped functioning when selecting Outlook.com as the email client. See screenshots. When that client is selected, it attempts to open a new email in Outlook.com, but it never opens. It's just an endless cycle of that mail image trying to open. (It works fine with other email client selections.) Windows 10. Thanks.

It works for me. see screenshot I assume you're already logged into Hotmail when trying this. Can you try again with Firefox in Safe Mode and logged into Hotmail? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-4troubleshoot-modesf5safe-modesf

Yes, of course I'm logged in... I tried the troubleshoot mode. Still didn't work. Just the endless loop of Outlook trying to load.

What security software are you running? How to clear the Firefox cache Also, you can try Clear a single item from the address bar history, but make you know the password because it's going to remove it. You can Refresh Firefox.

Thanks. i tried the single-item clear--no dice. Will clearing the cache also clear my browsing history? I don't really want to do that right now, and don't want do a refresh for the same reason.

Understand the hesitance with Refresh, I've been using Firefox for a long time and tried Refresh one time and it scared me.  ;-))

Good Luck, Jones out.
