In Firefox, I get multiple messages that say: Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.######.com/" on this server. Reference #18.9daf0660.1698269628.1b88b68b

I have tried many suggestions from web searches but still have the problem. I have: cleared history, cookies and cache reset firefox turned off firewall (microsoft) then turned it back on turned off proxy I do not have a VPN changed the DNS reset my modem reset my router run internet troubleshooter run in private mode run in safe mode turned off extensions restarted computer reset network settings

I added a VPN and it will work with that running but I prefer not to use it.

this also happens in Opera, Bing and Chrome. I am on Wifi and my son is on ethernet connection and we both have the issue.

Very frustrating. Any other suggestions? Could it be Windows Defender?

UPDATE : I just found out my IP address received a bad risk score from Akamai. I have requested they investigate it.

Now I have to figure out how to get it changed.

You can try to disable DNS over HTTPS.

Are you using a proxy or VPN?

You can check the connection settings.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet, select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":
