I have a persistent spammer who's sent me the same email approaching 300 times so far and has done so for weeks. I want to forward them automatically to SpamCop for reporting, but they require email submissions to include the spam as an attachment. I can't find a way to forward as attachment from a message filter.

Chosen solution

I would try this, with no guarantee it will work: in Settings/Composition, set Forward messages: As Attachment, then set the filter action to Forward to <destination address>. Test and report on results.

Setting the default forwarding method works for filters. The global setting creates an extra step for normal message forwarding, but at least it's working.

Good to know. Note that for normal forwarding, the message context menu has Forward As to select Inline or Attachment.
