I have several gmail accounts in Thunderbird. When Inbox is selected for any gmail address, and "Get Messages" is selected, I get the following error message: Error with account Junk Mail gjcmail@century

Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server pop.centurylilnk.net responded:
         gjcmail@centurylink.net is an invalid mailbox

This is an old inactive account. What should I do to stop this error message?

Second issue: For some reason, some emails don't automatically get marked "As Read" after viewing them, you have to manually right click on it and execute Mark > As Read.

  2. Go to https://pastebin.mozilla.org/, paste the clipboard by right clicking in the large text area, select paste from the menu, change the retention period to expire in 28 days, use the Paste Snippet button to create a page containing your info, then copy the resulting URL (address) of the page created.

In Thunderbird troubleshooting mode, the error message for the mail server pop.centurylilnk.net does not appear. But the "As Read" issue remains.

Maybe going into the old email accounts settings > Sever Settings > and removing the User Name will stop the error message issue? I don't know about the "As Read" issue.
