When using a Gmail account, how can you tell Google that a message was misclassified as spam (to teach it)?

When using a Gmail account, how can you tell Google that a message was misclassified as spam (to teach it)? To clarifiy: I am not using Thunderbird spam filtering, just Google. Some messages end up in my Junk folder and I want to tell google they are not spam. In Gmail web UI there "Not spam" menu action for that.

Marking it as not-spam in thunderbird does not train gmail to stop marking it as spam. What, exactly, are you wanting Thunderbird to do? Thank you.

I want to train Gmail when marking messages as non-spam in Thunderbird.

Since asking this question I found a potential answer:

https://webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/13878/does-moving-a-mail-to-the-imap-spam-folder-trains-gmails-spam-filter

So I guess all I need is to mark them as non-junk in Thunderbird.

- click to the spam folder - click the box by a message - click 'not spam' on the menu bar

Thanks! I do not have such button on the toolbar, but I assume it is the same as right click on the message in the message list and chosing "Mark -> As Not Junk".

My concern is that this action might be intended for Thunderbird's internal spam filter and may not relay the correction back to Gmail. I wonder how it operates. Is there a special IMAP extension required for this feedback, or is simply moving the email out of the Spam folder sufficient?

You must first select the spam filter for the menu option to be displayed

What do you mean "select spam filter"? I am browsing Junk folder of my Gmail account in Thunderbird 115.6.0. All messages there were identified as spam by Google.

My error. I meant the Spam label in left column in online gmail account.

Now we established that, my question is still remains open. How to do this in Thunderbird, not in Google Web UI.

You are not being clear in your ultimate intent. If a message is marked as spam by gmail, thunderbird stores it in the spam filter. Marking it as not-spam in thunderbird does not train gmail to stop marking it as spam. What, exactly, are you wanting Thunderbird to do? Thank you.
