Hello ! I have just had a new hard drive fitted to my old PC after a horrendous OneDrive incident. I have installed Thunderbird on my new drive but it does not seem to have loaded a Profiles folder in my AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird - just Adobe, Microsoft and Mozilla (Firefox). Can you tell me where else it might be so that I can paste in my old Thunderbird folder (with years and years of emails)  ?

Did you download it from the app store? It is not quite the same thing as the older Thunderbird installs form thunderbird.net as far as I can determine. Mostly it stores it's profile in the Local not roaming folders, so none of the instructions you will find anywhere will work as described..

I downloaded from Thunderbird site - no profile in Local. I did a search but couldn’t find it anywhere 😟

If you use windows search, it will never find it as it does not search in "hidden files and folders" and the windows appdata folder is hidden.

also a profile is not created until you run the application.
