It's not a website breakage since I can use Edge. Since the last update Xcel Energy cannot be accessed with Firefox because of a PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR.

An error occurred during a connection to myaccount.xcelenergy.com. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

Thanks for the reply. my.xcelenergy.com brings me to a page that doesn't load. Just a blank white screen. Microsoft Edge works fine. It's a Firefox problem.

What security software are you running?

more options

Windows 10 with Defender and LastPass. The error happens when I "launch" from LastPass. If I enter the URL from a Xcel search result the login screen hangs and doesn't finish loading.

Microsoft Edge seems fine although LastPass in not used.

What version of Windows? If Pro, can you fire up Windows Sandbox and see if you have the same issues in the VM? https://www.howtogeek.com/399290/how-to-use-windows-10s-new-sandbox-to-safely-test-apps/

more options

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

You can check the connection settings in case you use a Proxy or VPN service.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a Proxy to connect to internet, select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":
