I'm a longtime TB user. Today instead of usual opening page, TB opened with a new account setup page. None of my messages could be accessed. Reloaded PC and tried TB again - same result. I suspect a profile issue so I have attached a screen shot of the Profiles folder. I have a backup of the "Irmuoz07.andy user" profile. Help would be appreciated.

That happens when Thunderbird detects an abnormality in a profile and starts anew . If you have a complete backup, my suggestion is to: - exit thunderbird - copy the backup profile to overlay one with same name - restart thunderbird - click help>troubleshootinginformation, scroll down to 'profile folders' and click 'about:profiles and select to use that profile.

If your backup was the Thunderbird folder and not just the profile folder, then all you need to do is copy the thunderbird folder to overlay the existing thunderbird folder when Thunderbird is not running.
