When I go to Manage Bookmarks to back up, it says "No Items", but all my bookmarks are there on the LH window.

To clarify, are you referring to Firefox for Android or Firefox on a desktop or laptop computer?

Although Firefox for Android can be run on a desktop (typically a Chromebook) it does not have a manage bookmarks option.

To back up your bookmarks your will need to sync the data to a copy of Firefox for desktop where you will have the options that you are looking for.
