There are two types of shortcuts on the Firefox Home. Shortcuts: This displays your most visited sites. (Use the drop-down menu to indicate how many rows of Shortcuts you want to view.) Sponsored shortcuts: Select this check box to see the occasional sponsored site.

/moved thread from Firefox for iOS to Firefox section as you have macOS. iOS is the mobile OS used on iPhones and earlier iPads as newer ones have iPadOS.
