When I did the last update for Thunderbird, it kept asking for me to sign in to my Google account, but rejected my password. Contacted Google and they said I'm already signed in???

Thunderbird uses access to your google email account to get your email from that site. What google says about you being signed in via a browser has nothing to do with Thunderbird getting mail.

So can we just back up to the point you explain what the problem is. You are being asked to sign in. Is there more to this? Like it does not work or get remembered.
