I'm using a Huawei P20. I've been using FireFox for a long time mainly for accessing YouTube through the browser. After recent updates when I try to play a video it always appears to be really zoomed-in and completely unwatchable, decided to switch to WaterFox to resolve my issue, but after the last update WaterFox also has the same issue.

Can anyone provide some help with this issue?

Try clearing your cookies, then let me know if that fixed it. (Menu > Settings > Clear browsing data)

I have tried disabling all my extensions, but that didn't help at all. Even tried a fresh install, issue still persists.

Oddly enough some of the other threads I found with the same issue report having a Huawei phone.

It looks like the YouTube website is having trouble with the version of Android your phone is using. If you are open to using the YouTube app, you can try microG, which is an open source alternative for Google Play Services. After that is installed, you should be able to use the YouTube App. Note: You will also need to install the Aurora Store to get the YouTube app.

Don't want to use microG? You can also use NewPipe, a privacy focused alternative to YouTube that doesn't require GPS.

Pretty sure it isn't the Android version. I have another phone (Huawei Nova 5T) with the same version of Android and it works properly.
