Disable dialog asking to open a link in application

Some application registered links to a certain pattern of URLs to itself. Now every time I try to go to such address, a dialog pops up and asks to open that link in that application, but I neither have that application anymore nor am I interested in doing that. How can I make FF forget that application's setting?

That comes from the site asking to use another app to open their software or download. This isn't from Firefox but the site itself requesting this. You should check that site to see why it's asking that.

The site had not been going that until that application was installed. So it seems that it is FF after all.
