I received a Mozilla Firefox (64) update notice going for version 132. When it didn't complete, I checked that my version is Firefox ESR115 (115.17.0), which operates with Windows 7-8.1. I have Windows 10, which matches with your version 132. So my question is how do I change/update my Firefox over to match up with Windows 10 and the Version 132 update?

Hi, Firefox ESR 115.17.0 is the most recent version that works on Win7.

Versions higher than 115 are not compatible with Win7.

We're planning updates of the ESR 115 line at least up to March 2025.

Your UserAgent used to post this thread shows as Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0

The NT 6.2 is Windows 8. When you went to download Firefox on mozilla.org you were likely served Firefox 115 ESR as it thought you had Windows 8 and not Windows 11/11. Firefox 115 ESR is being served to Windows 7, 8, 8.1 users as Firefox 116.0 and later requires Windows/10/11.

If you do indeed have Windows 10 then either you have a modified Firefox UA or you are running Firefox in Windows 8 compatibility mode which can explain the Windows 8 and not 8.1 as 8.1 is not an option.

There are many articles on how to run in compatibility mode like this one. https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/set-compatibility-mode-windows-10

Or by chance you have a modified UA https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-reset-default-user-agent-firefox

Once you fix this issue then you can download the current Firefox 132.0.1 release from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/desktop-release/win64/

Or if you prefer the current Firefox 128 ESR https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/desktop-esr/win64/
