A recent update from Norton 360 stopped my email accounts from connecting (123-reg and gmail). It was refusing to recognise certificates from the relevant sites. I have reported this to Norton, but in the meantime I have had to disable Email Protection within Norton 360 in order to get things working again.

Well I suggest you contact your Norton folk and ask them how to fix the disastrous update they made.

Fundamentally at a personal level I use defender and rate Norton products at a very similar level as the malware they purport to protect against.
