Some websites may override the Enter key to make it skip to the next field instead of submitting the form, but this is not a function of the browser.

If this works in IE and not Firefox, it's likely that the website only implemented this behavior in Javascript compatible with IE. You would need to ask the website owner to fix it so that the behavior works in Firefox.
