yahoo messenger doesn't work in Firefox 3.6.3

I access my yahoo account via Firefox. Everything in Yahoo works fine except messenger. It opens the IM window and looks correct, but the screen locks, it will not allow me to type anything in the window, etc. If I switch over to IE, everything works fine. Any ideas?

Is there a fix for this, or will there be one? I really hate having to run IE just for YIM.
