Once Firefox is established as the default browser on my computer, does this block Internet Explorer from being an alternative browser.?

== Since I have had this computer over 3 years. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista but it made no difference.

No, it does no such thing.

Is IE not showing up in the Start Menu?

In Windows 7, check that Internet Explorer 8 is enabled in Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off.

rjohnson19 Thanks for the reply. Since posting my query, I have been able to correct the problem and now do have the IE browser working. I am not too sure what I did but it may have something to do with resetting some protocol parameters. My fingers worked faster than my brain so I will investigate further to determine what I actually did. I haven't had the time to do so and that is why I have not posted that the problem has been corrected
