I followed the advice to disable Cool Previews and the Pac Man sounds have gone away.

yeah, disabling Cool Previews worked.

I think Cool Iris just lost a lot of users today.

For those of you who want a step by step: -open your firefox browser -ignore the music ; ) -click on Tools at the top -click on Add-Ons -find Cool Preview or Cool Iris -click Disable (or Uninstall) -restart your firefox browser -smile in relief at the beautiful silence

Come on people... Because of the Droodle about Pacman today it's playing the music. Much better even: The Droodle is playable! This is the most brilliant Droodle from Google ever!

I think CoolIris just did this to get everyone to update CoolPreviews. If you uninstall it go to http://www.coolpreviews.com and reinstall it, the annoying Pacman sounds go away and CoolPreviews works with the new configuration of Google images (hovering over an image to make it open).
