I have an HP printer/copier/scanner. My O/S is Windows Vista and I use Yahoo Mail as my principal email base. What do I have to do to ensure that when I select "email" for a selected scan that it goes out via my Yahoo Mail. Are there any specific protocols that I must observe before sending scans by email...like linking the HP scanner to Yahoo Mail?

The HP software probably only supports system mail client software, like Thunderbird or Outlook. Thus, you won't be able to make your printer automatically attach your scan to a new yahoo mail image.

Check the printer's documentation for specific details, as I don't know how HP's scanning software works.
