My Windows XP user profile was damaged (ntuser.dat corrupted), and I now have a new profile. I created a new Firefox 3.6 profile for my new Windows profile, and then transferred the contents of my old profile to my new profile.

Everything worked fine -- bookmarks, preferences, etc. with the exception of my master password.

I still remember my master password, but Firefox won't accept it.

Any solution to this aside from resetting the master password and starting from scratch?

Did you copy both key3.db and signons.sqlite to that new profile?
