the program crashed. When I rebooted, it asked if I wanted to restore tabs/windows or start new session. I accidentally chose the latter. How do I restore the lost tabs/windows?

You can check the Firefox Profile Folder to see if you have a file sessionstore.bak from the date and time that you had that crash. If you have that file then make a backup copy of it and rename the file to sessionstore.js.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Session_Restore --- See also http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_crashes and Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) .......... If you have submitted Breakpad crash reports then it might help if you post the IDs of one or more Breakpad crash reports. You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page. You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, just like you open a website.
