Is the search engine toolbar function compromised? Whenever perform search Yahoo or Google the first search results appear but the link redirects to a spam site (and it sets off virus alert). It doesn't happen when go to actual search site.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs. You need to use all programs because each detects different malware. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database.
