How do i manage Firefox 3.x with Group Policy in a enterprise environment, especially Password Saving Settings?

I need to be able to manage Firefox in different versions in our enterprise environment (1000+ clients). Especially i need to edit security settings, in detail i need to disabled the password manager using Group Policy.

This is easy for Internet Explorer 7.x + 8.x and also for Chrome (they added GPO support in the latest release) but it still seems to be difficult for Firefox, as FF is config file based...
