why don't "Site Preferences" do?

I am using firefox 3, firefox 4 I have installed the trial but I did not use anymore so removed. Once removed, the "Site Preferences" not used anymore. ("Site Preferences" when the zoom is at the site after the site reopened zoom remains the same. Please help me.
