Make sure that the file has a file extension like .jpg to make it an image file.

You can check the file type in the Properties via the right-click context menu.
If that shows that iti is not an image file then you need to rename the files and add a .jpg file extension.
You probably need to add quotes around the name to make Windows Explorer to replace the old file extension with .jpg and not add the .jpg as part of the name leaving the old file extension as is.

I saved a few images that I got in an email message, but when I tried to open them up to view them, it was just a page full of jumbled letters. Is there some way or some program I need that will open them?
