cannot save images when I right click, save image as on Macbook G4

When I try to save an image from the right click menu, it opens the box to navigate to a folder, but when I click okay, it doesnt save the file. I cannot save an entire web page from the Save file as in the file menu either. Just installed 3.6.10

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."
