I am trying to download the latest version of Firefox 3.6.12. When I "click here" if it doesn't automatically download I get "page can not be displayed". Thanks in advance for your help.

Make sure that you do not block JavaScript.

Try to download the en-US installer from this page: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
