firefox says certificate was issued by an untrusted certificate authority but I have looked in the certificate manager and the issuing authority does exist in the trusted authority list

Certificate issued by Globalsign Domain Validation CA which is in the Intermediate Certificate Authority store which is itself issued by Globalsign Root CA which is in the Trusted Root Certificate Authority Store.

The site doesn't send a required intermediate certificate: GlobalSign Domain Validation CA

Also, the replacement icon comes via an insecure link: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=161376
That causes Firefox to show a broken padlock.
