First off, I am not computer literate so please answer in VERY simple language. I mistakenly clicked a button on the top of my computer screen and have lost the line that has "bookmarks" in it. How do I get it back?

This morning I was going to click on the little orange circle on the top left hand side of my monitor in order to leave a web site. I don't know what I really clicked on, but now I do not have the line across the top of the screen that lists several options including "bookmarks". I want to know how to get that line back and what I did to make it disappear so that I don't do it again.

PLEASE HELP
