All of FF locks up until a pop up appears and says that this script chrome://mozapps/content/downloads/download.xml:68 is busy.

There is another suppport entry like this, but it was for the MAC, and I did not see a way to add "Me too" but with a different configurations.

Try to reset the download history and delete downloads.sqlite (plus downloads.rdf, if it exists) in the Profile Folder

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
