When I click "file" "Edit" "View" "History" or any other top left menu item I am presented with the shadow of the drop down menu and nothing else.

Also none of the program command buttons in the top right work (minimise, restore down, close) but they do work with other software (google Chrome for example)

The drop down below "This Happened" is also not responding.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

From this thread, I found a solution for me. Go to Options > Advanced > General and uncheck the "Use hardware acceleration when available" option.
