firefox is adding an extension to a url that cannot be used

the url posted in the affected site cannot be opened. It should be: www.myuhc.com/member/prewelcome.do Firefox will not allow me change the url, it continues to try to open the wrong extension unless I go to private browsing. As soon as I leave private browsing I am foiled again. I have gone to the tool menu and cleared everything on recent history and it still does not work.

The site loads fine on my XP system with Firefox 3.6.13 after allowing the site myuhc.com in NoScript. There is a JavaScript that needs to run.

  1. Do you have NoScript or some other add-on that would prevent JavaScript from running? If you do not know, reply with a list of your Extensions (Help > Troubleshooting Information, then click on "Copy all to clipboard" and paste that into a reply in this question thread).
  2. Do you have JavaScript enabled? (Tools > Content, "Enable JavaScript" would need to be checked)
