when I click to open a new tab nothikng happens

When I go to open a new tab by clicking on the + sign nothing happens I can only navigate via the tab thats open, if I try to open a new tab from file nothing happens

That is a problem with the Ask.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)
