Recent upgrade to 3.6.15 seems to result in memory leaks, crashes, and screen freezes. I get frequent messages to close firefox due to low memory, though I have 1.6 GB of space available and 4 GB of ram. When I look at task manager, firefox sometimes has 200K of memory tied up, though I only have 1-2 tabs open of simple webpages ( ie Yahoo) and email.

I have the same problem (Firefox got up to a staggering 1.3GB of RAM!). Well, I've managed to "fix" it (until it is fixed in Firefox itself) by a RAM optimizer.

I use Smart RAM, which is a small but great tool from the Utilities section in Advanced SystemCare, which got Firefox down to only 20MB of RAM.
