Firefox on Joli OS?
I installed the most recent version of Joli OS on my older desktop; it comes with Chromium, but I'd like to install Firefox. How do I do this? Thanks!

Opening command line: 1. Go to last page of joli desktop. 2. Click local apps. 3. Click add local apps (top right) - huh? There's nothing at the top right.
Ahh, yes--you hit Alt-F1 to get to the terminal! Once I did that, and entered the string (above), it "installed" the local apps folder... that's where Firefox (and a bunch of other stuff) was placed. Worked like a charm! Thanks!
Firefox 4:
terminal - sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ubuntu.list
add to the bottom
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/firefox-stable/ubuntu lucid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/firefox-stable/ubuntu lucid main
save and exit
terminal - sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys CE49EC21
terminal - sudo apt-get update
terminal - sudo apt-get install firefox ubufox
Modified
when I do the above I get:
"firefox is already the newest version. ubufox is already the newest version."
Hi, anyone using Joli
I noticed another question elsewhere and wondered
- what is the latest version of Firefox on the Joli Distro
- is it working OK
- (I am aware of a possible potential issue with FlashPlayer http://help.jolicloud.com/entries/316531-i-have-an-issue-with-flash-on-joli-os )
If there are problems it should be posted as a new thread, but at least we can cross link threads.
Apologies for hijacking your thread, but this is a minority OS for Firefox, and anyone else posting or reading this is likely to be the nearest we have to a resident expert on the OS.
