Menu selection is the biggest problem, it does not matter if it is "File", "Edit", "View", etc. it hangs for approximately 15 seconds. I have tried safe mode, clean install, also removed all traces of Firefox in the registry and restarted OS before fresh install. I disabled all plugins, I have no add ons or themes. It is as vanilla as it can be, yet start up is brutally slow , menu as I said before hangs at every click.

DoctorV23 on DeviantArt found the solution for this, this is what he wrote.

"I know that a major advance in FF4 is hardware acceleration, but for those of us without the 'necessary' hardware...this might help:

In Firefox, click Tools -> Options. Go to Advanced tab, then General. Deselect and untick the "Use hardware acceleration when available" check-box."

Thanks to him for the fix.
