the "look inside this book" feature at Amazon quit working

more options

Recently the"look inside this book" feature at Amazon.com quit working. I don't know why I've been able to use it for the past couple of years with firefox browser no problem. Now it wont work any more. Someone at yahoo answers had the same problem and someone suggested they use Internet Explorer. I tired this an now all the features are working again, but I life the firefox browser and don't want to change back to IE. So, I'm thinking there is something not compatible with the firefox browser and this Amazon feature but I don't know what changed. When I go to Amazon's site and click on a book that offers the preview feature, click on the "look inside" nothing happens. That's the problem. Sincerely, Paula

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
