The Add-on bar does not stay "gone" when it is unchecked

I right-clicked the area near the URL bar and unchecked the "box" beside the add-on bar. For some reason, it keeps reappearing without notice or cause. It does this between sessions (after closing Firefox) and during sessions.

This is caused by the McAfee Site Advisor extension. If you disable or uninstall that extension it will solve the problem.

Thank you. Do you know of a way to move the site adviser? It isn't (AFAIK) a true add-on, so I wonder if I would need to do something special to move it.
