When I close Firefox with multiple tabs/windows open, the next time I open Firefox they’re all gone, and I’m left with a single window and tab showing my home page (Google).

The file that stores details of sessions may be corrupt. Try deleting the file to see if it helps.

  1. Open your Firefox profile folder, for details of how to find it see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles
  2. Close Firefox
  3. Delete sessionstore.js and if it exists sessionstore.bak
