tools/options/secruity/passwords was not set to "remember passwords for sites" when i log on to my bank site, the user id pops up in the "type ahead/dropdown " box. this doesn't happen when i use IE8 (same computer as firefox) to log onto my bank site.

i'm not sure you read the question correctly. this is not about passwords. it is about user ids. i do NOT want my user ids saved so they show up (drop down choice) as i log on to sites.
