I had removed some site from saved password in option->security->saved password. Now I want to save password for same site again. How can I do it.

Firefox should offer to save the password if you visit the site and enter the name and password in the log in form and submit that form.

You can check the exceptions:

  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: Exceptions

I tried it but Firefox 3.6.17 does not offer to save the password again.

  • You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
  • To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Uncheck: [ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session" (Fx4: "Permanent Private Browsing mode")
