I have too many toolbars installed but cannot find a way to remove or disable a toolbar such as yahoo toolbar or AVG toolbar?

I recently updated my AVG antivirus software. As part of the update, the AVG toolbar was added. In the old version of Firefox, you could use tools and click on manage add-ons. In the new version of Firefox, I cannot find a means to manage add-ons or disable toolbars. I would appreciate help on this.

or choose [extra] [add-ons] in the menu bar. your toolbars will be in extensions. You can disable them there. It is advisable to do so. Toolbars are usually essentially malware and adware. They spy on you and take part of your screen just to market the name and products of the supplier. You know what google and yahoo are all about. So never install anything they offer you.
