The title bar is translucent, which is frankly an awful, awful design choice, because sometimes something animated ends up a layer behind it and then you can't concentrate on the web page at hand. How do I make it opaque?

Thanks, I didn't notice it was a problem with every window, so I assumed it was a Firefox issue. I apologise for assuming.  :) The posted solution doesn't work for me, as I don't have an 'Advanced Windows Color and Appearance' setting, but I will pursue a solution elsewhere, as this isn't a firefox issue!

A different way - Right click on Desktop>Personalize>Window Color(at the bottom)>uncheck Enable transparency. Hope you call back to see this.
