I got a previous version of Firefox (3.x), which was with German menus. Now I have updated to V. 4.0.1 and the menus are in English. How can I manage to get them in German? Running Firefox on Windows 7, ultimate.

So, I got the German language pack in the Add-Ons Manager under "Languages". And now? The menus are still in German. How can I actually force Firefox to employ the language pack?

You can set the pref general.useragent.locale to de on the about:config page.

It is better to install the full version of the preferred language instead of installing a language pack.
Language packs are useful if you want to switch the user interface between different languages.
