I just updated to the latest version of Fire fox and found out that McAfee site adviser is not compatible with this version. I want to go back to my previous version. Please tell me how to do this.

The McAfee Site Advisor 3.3.1 extension was the number 2 cause of crashes in one of the Firefox 5.0 betas and Mozilla Blocklisted it. That extension is disabled in Firefox 5, Firefox 6.0beta, and Firefox 7.0alpha versions. McAfee is working on a new re-written version of the Site Advisor extension to fix their problems - ETA is mid to end of July.

MacAfee was notified May 27.

ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/4.0.1/win32/ and pick your language.

Not advisable to go back to 4.0.1 as 5.0 is partially a security update in place of 4.0.2.

I was doing just fine with the previous version. Site advisor has saved me several times. I wish I had never updated until the problem was solved. I'll go back to internet explorer if I can't go back to the previous version of Fire fox. I want my site advisor!!

So are you going to tell me how to go back to the previous version?? That was my original question.

I gave you the link for Firefox 4.0.1

This toolbar does duplicate much of the features that is in Firefox already as Firefox has had anti-phishing and web forgery protection since Firefox 2.0

Can we get a link back to 3.5 or 3.6, which are still the best versions?

Boggled by the worsening versions. ONE SOLID veriosn would be GREAT. But please LISTEN to feedback

V5 appears to be no better. I can't believe I stuck with 4, even though I still use IE 50% of the time (isn't that saying something...!)

Everytime I download the forst file after opening FF, the whole thing freezes for up to 5 min while it opens that stupid download box. If you don't choose to see the download box, it still freezes AND you have no idea of the dl speed, ETA etc. LAME

You can choose multiple homepages in Firefox 4 but you can't choose any of them from a list of homepages. You either close and reopen or act like it's 1995 and scroll through your history.

Firefox continues to save .jpgs as .htms! WHY????

Bookmark something and then go to look for a bookmark and instead of opening at the top of your list it lands somewhere in the middle - not with the most recent addition to Favs, and not at the beginning, either of which would behave LOGIC behind them.

And NO ONE is listening! Every new version just makes things worse and becomes more and more counter-intuitive and windows-esque.

PLEASE STOP SUCKING SOMETIME REALLY REALLY REALLY SOON????

Firefox 3.6.18 is at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Firefox should save .jpg images as .jpg images just fine regardless of Firefox version. Make sure you are doing "Save Image As " and not "Save Link As".

And your problems are not typical actually. You could have either Profile problems or one or more extensions affecting your setup.

Try starting Firefox in -safe-mode to see
