How can I set the default homepage system-wide in firefox 5?
I used to be able to set the default homepage for all my users in Firefox 3.6 by putting entries like: browser.startup.homepage=http://example.com browser.startup.homepage_reset=http://example.com
into a file browserconfig.properties in the top level firefox directory.
This doesn't seem to work in firefox 5.
How can I set the default homepage system-wide in firefox 5?

I even tried the new CCK Wizard and FireFox 5 resets my default home page.. the browserconfig.properties was very useful in our School Lab environments. Mozilla should fix this problem.
Actually there is a workaround but it's a bit more difficult...seems to work for what I need to do.
See this article below:

You can use a mozilla.cfg file to lock prefs or specify default values.
You can place a file local-settings.js in the defaults\pref folder to specify using mozilla.cfg.
pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg").
You can use these functions in mozilla.cfg:
defaultPref(); // set new default value pref(); // set pref, but allow changes lockPref(); // lock pref, disallow changes

Thanks for the replies.
I eventually found out that I can set the default homepage by putting:
pref("browser.startup.homepage", "data:text/plain,browser.startup.homepage=http://www.example.com/");
into a local preferences file eg: defaults/preferences/localprefs.js
